The activation/deactivation method depends on whether your Toyota has a Cruise Control or not
Pull the Cruise Control lever (situated on the right, under the steering wheel) towards you for 4 seconds
OR
Press and hold the CANCEL button for 10 seconds
OR
Pull the High Beam lever 4 times
or change modes via smartphone app or press
ON
The kilometers are stopped at 100%
Once the module is activated, the message “Driver’s door open” will appear briefly
OFF
The kilometers are counted at 100%
Once the module is deactivated, the message “Passenger door open” will appear briefly.

The product works as advertised. There is one reason I did not give a 5 rating is the installation. The pin alignment is deceiving and a slow demonstration in the video would solve the issue I had with alignment. The video takes for granted that someone doing this for the first time will run into some issues. For example, the new installed harness needs to go through a hole in the back of the panel. Also, the existing “trip” harness that needs to be disconnected need to be pushed in from the top and then pull apart for disconnection. Very good product for the price. Highly recommend.
